Yes it's a chain, but it's a worthy addition to 10Spot: floor-to-ceiling windows along the PCH with the ocean ten feet away prove the point. The menu runs the signatures: black cod miso, rock shrimp tempura, yellowtail jalapeño, and whatever crudo the kitchen is excited about that week. Walk-ins take the sushi bar or the outdoor patio; the dining room books weeks out. Don't overthink it.
