Flatiron, Manhattan · restaurant
Blond wood and moss-green tile make the room feel like a breezy neighborhood café, right up until the menu starts swerving between naan, tuna sashimi, roasted oysters with scallion kimchi, and a Low Country Boil loaded with shrimp, tilefish, and Broadbent ham. The Carolina Old Fashioned (bourbon, hot honey, lapsang souchong) does a pretty good job explaining the logic behind all of it.
Brown butter, chow chow relish
Baby bok choy, tamarind, thai basil, fried shallots
Old bay shrimp + tilefish, new potato, broadbent ham, blue cornbread
