North Beach, San Francisco · bar
Since 1948, Café Vesuvio has been North Beach's unofficial living room for writers, artists, and anyone with time for one more drink. Across from City Lights Bookstore, two floors of murals, Tiffany lamps, and accumulated art frame a cocktail menu with literary nods like the Jack Kerouac and the Gin-sberg. Downstairs is where conversations linger; upstairs catches the whole room.
Aperol, Montenegro amaro, and soda water, the bar's namesake aperitivo
