New American with real Southern backbone—shrimp and grits laced with Tasso ham and Pernod, and a ham board that goes beyond the usual charcuterie setup, with pimento cheese and date butter on the side. The cocktail list stays inventive without getting precious, from the Dark Til Dawn (bourbon pulled through two kinds of amaro) to whatever else is currently in rotation. There’s a prix fixe for when the menu feels like too many good decisions at once.
