Echo Park, Los Angeles ยท restaurant
A tatami-mat sake bar on Temple Street where the sound system stays lo-fi and the bottle list goes deep into rare nihonshu most LA bars haven't heard of. The food stays focused: karaage, miso butter corn, and Kurobuta sausage. Just enough to keep things grounded. Come Thursday through Sunday, stick around past midnight when the music turns up and the more obscure pours start coming out.
Charred corn slicked with miso butter, a rich and sweet small bite
Crispy fried chicken bites, light and golden, made for sake pairing
Premium Japanese black pork sausage, grilled and smoky
