Russian Hill, San Francisco · restaurant
A snug Hakata-style ramen spot on Polk where bowls arrive semi-deconstructed. Noodles and broth in one vessel, toppings on a plate alongside it. The Regular comes with bamboo, a jammy egg, and chashu that stays caramelized even sitting in the broth; the Deluxe adds extra pork for $5 and is worth it. Karaage rounds out the order, but plan on a waitlist, the room fills fast with solo diners and small groups.
Crispy Japanese fried chicken — the right thing to add alongside a ramen order
Same build as the Regular with extra pork slices, worth the $5 upgrade
