Mission, San Francisco · shop
A compact Mission carnicería that has been family-owned since 1965 — San Francisco's oldest surviving one — with a regulars list that spans generations on both sides of the counter. The marinated arrachera sells out most weekends, the carnitas and chicharrones are made in-house, and the counter in the back turns them into tacos and burritos on handmade tortillas. Come weekday mornings and leave with food for tomorrow.
