Hearth and Brodo host a walk-around tasting of soups from downtown NYC chefs and restaurants on Sunday, October 25. All proceeds go to the Trinity Church Soup Kitchen, with $55 per person entry at 12pm or 2pm.
A warmly lit Italian-American dining room where the wood-burning hearth at the back of the room sets every dish's logic. Braised short rib, whole roasted chicken, and house-made pastas rotate by season, the cooking is Tuscan-influenced but lighter on ceremony than the address might suggest. Book ahead; the dining room fills before most people have thought about dinner.
