Angelo Competiello of Alta Irpinia brings his porchetta pop-up to Red Hook Focacceria for two days only, Saturday and Sunday starting at 11am. Sandwiches are served until the pork sells out, so early arrival is the move.
A weekend-only focaccia counter that sells out by noon on Saturdays. The dough is 100% Italian semolina, stuffed ripiena-style and sold by the tray. Rosemary & Sea Salt with Sicilian olive oil and Maldon flakes, or Onion, Fig & Thyme for something sweeter. Get there by 10 at the latest.
