Notting Hill restaurant Dove, led by chef Jackson Boxer, takes over Sailor for two nights only on October 14th and 15th as part of the London Calling series. Expect elevated comfort food and modern British cooking making its first overseas appearance in Fort Greene.
A former takeaway counter on a quiet Fort Greene corner has been transformed into an intimate dining room with brass accents, a marble wine display, and just eight tables. The menu makes simple things extraordinary, from Toast with Green Sauce to a roasted chicken for two served over Parmesan potatoes and braised chard, while the stuffed Swiss chard filled with herbed rice has developed a cult following. Reservations disappear quickly, but the effort pays off.
