Noe Valley, San Francisco ยท restaurant
A miniature, art-splashed sushi bar in Noe Valley that's held a Michelin listing since 2012 by doing the same thing well: carefully sourced fish, clean Japanese cuts, and a sake list worth exploring. The White Out roll (seared escarole, garlic ponzu) is the thing to order alongside fatty tuna nigiri, and somehow everything stays under $15. Walk-ins only; there's usually a line, and it's always been worth the wait.
