East Village, Manhattan · shop
Hidden down a few basement steps in the East Village, this place is less “shop” and more “curated time capsule of culinary obsessions.” Bonnie knows every spine in here like a confidante—vintage cooking manuscripts, out-of-print gems, old restaurant guides—and she’ll gladly nerd out with you over charcuterie lore or 1920s cake design. Her hours are fickle (usually 1-6pm), so call ahead or make an appointment—and go ready to rummage.
