West Village, Manhattan ยท bar
The bar that brought Japanese-style cocktail craft to America, now reborn in a West Village townhouse on Grove Street after being forced out of its legendary East Village home. The rules haven't changed: walk-ins only, parties of four or fewer, no standing, no loudmouths. Bartenders still carve ice with surgical focus, and thirty-plus years in, the place remains untouchable.
Lemongrass-infused tequila with papaya, pineapple, and a jalapeno tincture kick.
Bourbon, aromatised wine, herbal liqueur, and bitters finished with real smoke.
Nikka Coffey Grain whisky with cold brew jasmine and ume grenadine.
