Simple Son celebrates the release of their debut album Giving Nothing A Name with a late-night show at Alphaville featuring Thamp and Griffin Energy Turtle. The bill also includes a special film screening from Nihal Singh, with doors at 10:30pm.
Part dive bar, part live music venue, part restaurant that sells a burger-fries-beer-and-a-shot combo for fifteen dollars and calls it the Bushwick Happy Meal. The bands are up-and-coming, the cocktails are strong and well-made, and the room has that specific energy of a place built by people who grew up on Devo and The Clash.
