Four bands from Tijuana, Watsonville, and Compton play a goth and dark-wave lineup at The Slipper Clutch, backed by DJ Mario81 spinning post-punk and rock en español. Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm across three bars and three outdoor patios.
Like a Lynchian fever dream tucked behind a Downtown pawn shop, The Slipper Clutch is all dark corners, vintage pinball, and the hum of leather jackets brushing past pool tables. The drinks are stiff, the soundtrack skews punk, and there’s just enough grit under the glam to keep things interesting. It’s the kind of place where you could accidentally join a biker gang. Or at least flirt with one.
