Ursula's 6th annual New Mexican Chile Roast returns to The Meat Hook with 1,200 pounds of fresh chile roasted live and a mariachi band. Chef Bleu Adams serves Navajo tacos and green chile cheeseburgers while free samples of Hatch green chile hummus go to the first hundred guests.
New Mexican cooking built around Navajo-grown blue corn, New Mexico chiles, and a cocktail list sourced from queer- and women-owned distilleries. The carne adovada burrito (slow-cooked red chile pork, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs) shows up at breakfast; the Tamal Enfrijolado and Poblano Relleno anchor the Friday-Saturday dinner run. The cocktails, named after Albuquerque clubs and 90s dance parties, earn as much attention as the food.
