West Hollywood, Los Angeles · bar
Ever wondered what it’s like to drink wine in the middle of a secret society gathering? Once a library (and even Charlie Chaplin’s studio, per local lore), the space still wears its bookish soul. Walls lined with bottles like overdue novels, a V-shaped marble bar that naturally pitches your gaze to those shelves. The menu leans small. Boutique Cali and European wines, sakes, Roman-style pizzas, cheese/charcuterie, tinned fish. And the staff acts like sommelier librarians, coaxing you toward something delicious you’d otherwise never try.
Containing the candied aromas of raspberry and cherry. Like a boozy lollipop.
A selection of artisanal cheeses and/or meats served with dried fruit, crackers, nuts and compote
Curated by Kerry Tamura of World Sake Imports, a rotating pour from small Japanese producers
Happy hour runs Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
