About Twin Peaks Tavern

The plate glass windows that made Twin Peaks radical in 1972 (when most gay bars kept their shades drawn) still mark its corner of Market and Castro, rotating rainbow arrow and all. Inside, it's quiet by design: built for conversation over spectacle, with an upstairs mezzanine that gives you the best people-watching window in the neighborhood. The Irish coffee is the right order; cash only.
