It’s one of LA’s last true music rooms—a crimson-lit bunker where jazz lands loud, rough, and unpolished, and the only food order worth making is a loaded spud. Since 1970 it’s hosted session legends and fusion freaks alike, carving out a reputation as the city’s longest-running jazz joint. The menu is in on the joke: 24 varieties of baked potatoes (Philly cheesesteak, maple ham, teriyaki chicken, etc.) that pair beautifully with someone lighting a sax solo in your ear.
