Counter stools, vinyl booths, and a short-order kitchen that's been running since before the Haight had its reputation. The chicken fried steak (breaded beef cutlet buried in poultry gravy, two eggs any style, biscuits on the side) is the order that brings the regulars. One of the neighborhood's last proper diners, and very much aware that it doesn't need to be anything else.
