An outdoor biergarten — communal wood tables, no walls, no weather guarantees — that runs on German beers on tap and the snacks they were always meant to accompany. The Pretzel with Obatzda (Bavarian cheese spread) is the move to start; the Brat Basket brings two sausages with potato salad for the table. Weather permitting, it's one of the few real outdoor beer settings in Hayes Valley.
