Used books floor to ceiling in a Mission storefront that also runs a rotating gallery in back and an occasional performance stage. The shelves run deep into fiction, poetry, and art — dense, eccentric, and priced cheap — with free books stacked in boxes outside on the sidewalk. The Backroom Gallery hosts local artists and the calendar includes readings and live events most weeks.
