Friday, October 23, 2026, 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM · Heavy Manners Library, Echo Park, Los Angeles
Hosted by Katja Bartholmess, this open writing session at Heavy Manners Library's new location runs 1 to 3pm Friday with no prompts or instruction, just time to write. RSVP is required.
A hushed bunker of underground publishing where zines, self-published oddities, and art books stack into dreamy, half-lit towers. More gallery than quiet study hall, it pulses with rotating exhibits, video projections under trees, and weekend collabs with zine vendors. Membership lets you check out from the collection; as a visitor, you’ll just want to hang and soak in the weird, slow magic.
