A mini jazz festival at Young Ethel's brings three trios to one stage for $25: Aditi Malhotra Trio, Gabriel Maia Trio, and Meridian Trio. The Gabriel Maia Trio blends Brazilian rhythms like samba and choro with contemporary jazz improvisation.
A no-frills Park Slope bar that doubles as the neighborhood’s cultural center, whether you planned on it or not. One minute you’re grabbing a cheap beer, the next you’re watching a comedy set, a scrappy band, or someone bravely workshopping a poem in the back room.
