Sunday, October 11, 2026, 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM · The Jackalope, Downtown Austin, Austin
The Screamalongs host live rock karaoke at Jackalope South Shore with a backing band playing punk, metal, emo, and grunge. Sign up starts at 6:30pm, music runs 7-10pm, no cover.
TVs loop movies that haven’t been relevant since the Reagan era, pin-up portraits cover the walls, and a mounted jackalope watches over the room. Exactly the kind of weirdness that keeps locals loyal to this Dirty Sixth institution. The real draw is the food: a Chipotle Bacon Smash Burger topped with house-made pimento cheese for under $9, 95-cent wings on Tuesdays, and free pool on Mondays. One of the few bars downtown that still feels like it belongs to the people who live there.
