Sunday, October 11, 2026, 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM · Akbar, Silver Lake, Los Angeles
DJ Glen Coco spins The Plastics at Akbar, a no-cover dance night mixing pop, hip-hop, R&B, house and mashups all night long.
Akbar feels like Silver Lake’s long-standing clubhouse: punk roots, cheap drinks, crowded dance room, mellow front lounge. DJs, drag, sing-alongs, themed nights (Planet Queer, Bears in Space, etc.), the calendar is full, and the vibe is refreshingly all-inclusive. No velvet ropes, no attitude; just a place to show up, move, laugh, maybe stumble out after last call with your shoes half off.
