Bob Baker Marionette Theater screens short spooky puppet films from Handmade Puppet Dreams and the 48hr Puppet Film Project on October 8th. A filmmaker talkback follows the screening.
Perch on a red-cushioned carpet circle as life-size marionettes strut across a vintage Art Deco stage, strings glowing under warm, theatrical lighting. This is puppetry far from kindergarten fare. The space, a lovingly reimagined 1920s silent-era movie house, folds nostalgia and hand-crafted charm into every corner. From the lobby’s daisy‑tile floors to post‑show free scoops of ice cream for all ages.
