Queerbana's new party at El Rio spotlights Caribbean and African diaspora sounds with tropical sets from Profesito, LBXX Yarí, and Buku FM. Dancers, vendors, and food are on hand, and the cover is $7 at the door.
A queer community bar on Mission Street with a giant back patio that runs from punk shows on Friday nights to salsa orchestras and drag on the weekends. Free oysters land on the deck every Friday at 5:30pm, and the house margaritas (Espolon tequila or El Silencio mezcal, both squeezed fresh) are the other reason to show up early.
