Phranc, a Jewish lesbian folksinger and queer artist, performs songs from her 40-year career spanning music, painting, and sculpture. Ticketed show at McCabe's.
Tucked into a mellow stretch of Pico, this half-century-old institution morphs effortlessly from cozy instrument den by day to hushed concert sanctuary by night. Wood-lined walls sag under scores of acoustic gems (from ukuleles and sitars to rare harp guitars) beckoning curious fingers and offbeat finds. In the back, folding chairs crowd a tiny stage where everything from folk legends to rising voices play like they’re living room guests, no amplified theatrics. Just pure, intimate music.
