Murray's Tavern pairs Gin Mare, Diplomatico, and Old Forester martinis with three free oysters on Oct 8. The oyster special runs alongside the start of Elijah Craig Old Fashioned Week, which benefits the Southern Smoke Foundation.
The signature drink is Grandma Murray’s Rob Roy, a cocktail named after someone’s grandmother and delivered with the kind of specificity that defines the whole place. Prime rib, oysters Rockefeller, beef tartare, and fish and chips all show up on the menu and all arrive executed with surprising confidence. The Frozen Brandy Alexander is there too, which feels entirely unnecessary until you order one.
