Monday, October 5, 2026, 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM · Akbar, Silver Lake, Los Angeles
Pink Pony Club hosts the first Mx Monarch LA drag competition at Akbar, judged by Alexander the Great and Jack Doff. Competitors perform one number with a top-2 lip sync round for cash and community-donated prizes.
Akbar feels like Silver Lake’s long-standing clubhouse: punk roots, cheap drinks, crowded dance room, mellow front lounge. DJs, drag, sing-alongs, themed nights (Planet Queer, Bears in Space, etc.), the calendar is full, and the vibe is refreshingly all-inclusive. No velvet ropes, no attitude; just a place to show up, move, laugh, maybe stumble out after last call with your shoes half off.
