Thursday, October 22, 2026, 1:00 AM - 4:00 AM ยท The Savoy Tivoli, North Beach, San Francisco
Checkpoint hosts a video game music jam session and Magic: The Gathering draft night at The Savoy Tivoli. Bring an instrument to join the house band or bring a playmat for games starting at 6pm, with music kicking off at 8pm.
Dark wood, oil paintings, and two metal palm trees that feel entirely at home somehow sum up the Savoy Tivoli, a Grant Avenue institution that's been part of North Beach since 1907. Two full bars, three pool tables, a street-facing patio, and live jazz on Sundays from 3-5pm make it one of the neighborhood's easiest places to settle in.
Signature bar food; house-made tacos, a crowd favorite at the patio bar
Classic tequila margarita, a go-to order on daily drink specials
Whiskey cocktail. Bartender specialty at this 1907 Grant Ave landmark bar
