El Rio hosts MUA Fiesta 2026, a fundraiser for Mujeres Unidas y Activas with Latin beats by DJ BB Cora, a 6pm dance contest, and a silent auction. Food is available for a $5 donation starting at 5pm, and cover is $15, 21+.
A queer community bar on Mission Street with a giant back patio that runs from punk shows on Friday nights to salsa orchestras and drag on the weekends. Free oysters land on the deck every Friday at 5:30pm, and the house margaritas (Espolon tequila or El Silencio mezcal, both squeezed fresh) are the other reason to show up early.
