Tokyo Record Bar marks Thelonious Monk's 109th birthday with a three-night Sonic Journey curated by his grandchildren Sierre and Thelonious Monk IV, running October 8 through 10. A special menu inspired by Monk's life pairs with the music each night, with an October 10th celebration featuring his niece Angélika Beener.
