Four bands, including Rick Lawndale Band, Who's Cuter Now?, Royalti & The Starlighters, and .XOM, play free live music at Blind Barber in Highland Park from 8pm. The event is 21+.
A barbershop by day, low-lit cocktail den by night. Because Highland Park loves a plot twist. Slip past the buzzing clippers and into the back room where the drinks are strong, the booths are snug, and the crowd looks like they all own at least one vintage leather jacket; it’s the kind of place where you come for “just one” and end up closing it down under a neon glow.
Seven varieties including a pastrami reuben with Swiss and sauerkraut.
Gin, bergamot, falernum, lemon, grapefruit, and mint.
Reposado tequila, Mr. Black, vanilla, and cold brew. Interesting variation on a theme.
