Marigold Cafe hosts its first latte art throwdown with 16 barista slots competing while DJ Sincerity Project spins. Doors open at 5pm, first pour at 6pm, free to spectate and $10 to compete.
A café tucked behind a flower shop on 21st Street, which means you order your latte standing amid peonies and dried stems. Coffee comes from Portland-based Heart Roasters, the toast is on Bernal Bread, and the seasonal drinks lean floral, the Rose Vanilla Latte and Lazy Daisy (condensed coconut milk, vanilla, seasonal spices) both warrant a detour.
