An all-femme band plays salsa, cumbia, timba and more at El Rio, performing music written or popularized by femme artists. Doors at 5pm with the live set from 6 to 8pm, free entry with donations encouraged.
A queer community bar on Mission Street with a giant back patio that runs from punk shows on Friday nights to salsa orchestras and drag on the weekends. Free oysters land on the deck every Friday at 5:30pm, and the house margaritas (Espolon tequila or El Silencio mezcal, both squeezed fresh) are the other reason to show up early.
