Long Beach's Brazilian boogie party Dance Bem returns to The Bamboo Club with DJs Little Son and Captain Planet spinning 80s Rio de Janeiro-era Brazilian boogie, samba funk, afro disco, and latin rhythms on vinyl with live percussion, hosted by Valeria Metz. Dancing runs 9 PM to 2 AM with a $5 cover.
Long Beach’s tropical fever dream, where the rum is strong, the lights are low, and every night feels vaguely like a vacation you didn’t fully budget for. It’s all thatched accents, glowing lanterns, and a patio that fills up fast once the DJs kick in. The cocktails lean tiki in the best way (layered, boozy, and dressed to impress) while the dance floor slowly turns into a very friendly sweatbox. Equal parts island escapism and LBC neighborhood party.
