Cumbiatón throws its Labor Day pachangon at El Rio on September 6, with DJs Von Kiss, Oteb, Solrac, Mare.E.Fresh, Sizzle, and Wockie spinning cumbia and reggaeton. Doors at 3pm for what the crew is calling a lineup of California's top Latin DJs.
A queer community bar on Mission Street with a giant back patio that runs from punk shows on Friday nights to salsa orchestras and drag on the weekends. Free oysters land on the deck every Friday at 5:30pm, and the house margaritas (Espolon tequila or El Silencio mezcal, both squeezed fresh) are the other reason to show up early.
