thu, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM · Volstead Lounge, East Austin, Austin
Fierce Mild Comedy Open Mic every Thursday night. Free. Sign up times vary - arrive early.
Cocktails from a legit mixologist share the menu with tall boys and old-world wines, reflecting Volstead’s New Orleans. Leaning bar program that refuses to separate things by price point or occasion. The backyard patio is deceptively large from the street, with a dance floor that comes alive when the DJs start. Drag brunch from the Vixens of Volstead (two-time Austin Chronicle Best Drag Showcase winners) packs the weekends, so reservations aren’t optional.
