Sunday, August 30, 2026, 2:00 AM - 5:00 AM · The Escondite, DTLA, Los Angeles
This event has ended.
The Escondite throws a farewell party before closing for good at the end of August, with freak show acts, magic performers, and live bands set to join the lineup.
The Escondite feels like DTLA’s best-kept secret: a moody, antler-lit dive saloon slinging craft beers, sneaky cocktails, and a burger menu where maple-bacon doughnut buns aren’t even the weirdest option. A hidden patio overlooks Skid Row, live R&B leads into rugged local rock, and a pinball machine stands guard for post-patio game breaks. Open ‘til 2 am nightly, with no cover and live bands at 10pm, it’s worth braving the area to enjoy a rare-to-find beer and a basket of spuds.
Hot fried chicken stacked with a crispy hash brown patty and over-easy egg on a soft burger bun.
A dark rum Collins: Goslings Black Seal shaken with lemon and simple syrup, served tall over ice.
Cucumber-infused tequila with serrano agave and fresh lime, topped with a Grand Marnier float
Basket of fries. Good simple bar snack.
Steak sandwich. Good downtown lunch option.
