DJ Shortkut of the Beat Junkies and Computer Jay headline the Overthrow Pirate Radio album release party at Boombox 1st Saturdays. Vinyl proceeds from the album go to families affected by I.C.E., with residents Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Mantron on the decks.
A Chinatown relic that feels like stumbling into a ’50s speakeasy where jazz never really left. Grand Star splits its personality between cozy live tunes and DJs spinning everything from dusty standards to hip‑hop throwbacks. Two floors of low lights, a couple of full bars, and a lively crowd make it the sort of place where you linger past last call when the soundtrack morphs from sax solos to old‑school beats.
