Solarc Brewing debuts Ziggurat, an ancient-style ale made with coriander, cumin, pomegranate, and dates, at the Getty Villa on October 10th. Archaeologist Tate Paulette presents on beer in Mesopotamia and Egypt as part of the Bacchus Uncorked series.
A brewery built around gruit, a medieval style of beer brewed with botanical bittering agents instead of hops. The ales are earthy and herbal, distinct from the hop-forward profiles that define most craft beer. The taproom has a community-center sensibility: events, crafts, and regulars who show up for both.
