Jonathan Terrell plays a live set at 7pm, followed by DJ sets from Joshy Soul and Adrian Quesada at Carpenter Hotel's rescheduled party. Carpenters Hall provides food and drinks, and the event is free with RSVP.
Salt baking, smoking, fermentation, and slow roasting all show up here as technique rather than theater, applied to Southern-leaning dishes from pan-roasted scallops to a weekly rotating Tuesday burger. The carrot cake is popular enough to have its own pre-order system, and the shaded patio at Carpenter Hotel makes the all-day happy hour feel even more generous than it already is.
