El Rio's 23rd annual Rhinestone Rodeo brings live country performances, a DJ set of vintage country classics, and BBQ from Jaibird to the patio on Labor Day. Sliding scale admission is $15-$20, 21+.
A queer community bar on Mission Street with a giant back patio that runs from punk shows on Friday nights to salsa orchestras and drag on the weekends. Free oysters land on the deck every Friday at 5:30pm, and the house margaritas (Espolon tequila or El Silencio mezcal, both squeezed fresh) are the other reason to show up early.
